CHICKENPOX
Varicela is an infantile,
infectious
disease
and very contagious and although the year appears throughout, generally it is increased by the end of
winter
and principles of
spring
.
Almost
all the
children
and
children
contract it between the 4 and 10 years of age, during the
childhood
, being very rare the cases that appear during the adolescence or adult age in where the
disease
is more severe and burdens and also it is possible to be presented / displayed in new born, pregnant and in patients whose immunological
system
is deficient.
The
disease
is caused by the virus of varicela to
zoster
, that is
transmitted
by direct bonding with an infected person or by means of the gotitas of saliva which they are expelled when toser, speaking or to sneeze.
The
period
of incubation is of 10 to 20 days and during him symptoms do not appear until they appear first ronchas or injuries in the skin that appears of sudden form and evolves the few hours happening of spots to injuries risen in the skin which they are known like pápulas, which later vesicles fill of
liquid
forming. Later they fill of pus and they are known like pustules that finally form scabs.
After the
period
of incubation, they appear the first symptoms that are fever, reddish small general malaise and pápulas that more or less becomes vesicles and scabs in 24 hours,
but
continue forming new agglomerations during 4 or 5 days.
The bud initiates with the appearance of distant spots that cover the hairy leather and the trunk and later extends to the rest of the body, can in some severe cases appear in the mouth, conjuntiva of the eye and in the genitals, being very annoying.
I
infect
of the
disease
it is possible to be given one or two days before it appears the eruption, reason why is very difficult to control it or to avoid it and lasts until they appear the last scabs.
Although the
disease
yields, the virus follows latent in the organism and can later reappear years in form of vesicular eruptions.
