It is a plant for 20 to 50 cm in height growing in sandy soils of central and northern Europe and North America. Its rhizome is used mainly as a diuretic and sudorific. Also used for its digestive and gentle laxatives. It is prepared with an infusion of rhizome 10-20 grams per liter of water, which takes 3 cups per day with the main meals.
